The Rajasthan Kabir Yatra is a travelling folk music festival which will journey over 6 days in and around the Jodhpur, Bikaner & Jaisalmer regions from October 2-7, 2018 creating a space where musicians, artists, scholars, students and seekers can immerse themselves in the voices of Bhakti and Sufi saint-poets such as Kabir, Mira, Bulleh Shah, questioning and dissolving boundaries of caste, class, religion and identity.

This Yatra takes its inspiration from various community practices, especially the tradition of the Jaagran/satsang, an all-night event where singers from different communities come together to sing and discuss mystic poets.

Organized by Lokayan in partnership with the Rajasthan Police and the Department of Tourism, Rajasthan the last three editions of the Rajasthan Kabir Yatra took place in 2012, 2016 & 2017 and were widely chronicled and appreciated. It brought together 50 artists, over 500 yatris from different parts of India and abroad, together with thousands of local audiences.

This year the Yatra will invite artists from Kutch, Malwa, Bengal, Chennai, Mumbai and Delhi, apart from several artists from Rajasthan itself, to share mystic songs in diverse musical genres.
